A vacuum circuit breaker is a high-voltage circuit breaker where the arc extinguishing medium is vacuum. These circuit breakers are designed to switch on and off electric current, and they can be under load or short-circuit currents can flow through them. The main advantage of vacuum circuit breakers over oil circuit breakers is their switching life, high reliability and explosion and fire safety.
Vacuum circuit breakers type VV - AE- 6 ÷ 35 kV.
Switches of the VV-AE type are intended for switching electric circuits, in normal and emergency modes, in three-phase alternating current networks with a frequency of 50 Hz and a rated voltage from 6 to 35 kV. Switches of the VV-AE type are used in switchgear.
In all cases, installation of switches of the VV-AE type is permitted only upon agreement with the manufacturer.
At the customer's request, the switches can be equipped with drives with controls, such as: a closing solenoid (YAC) and a closing solenoid (YAT) for a voltage of 220V (110V) direct or 230V (120V) alternating current and an additional set of electromagnets with built-in releases:
