A vacuum circuit breaker is a high-voltage circuit breaker where the arc quenching medium is vacuum. These circuit breakers are designed to switch electric current on and off, and they can be under load or have short-circuit currents flowing through them. The main advantage of vacuum circuit breakers over oil circuit breakers is their switching life, high reliability and explosion-fire safety.

Vacuum circuit breakers type VV - AE- 6 ÷ 35 kV.
Circuit breakers type VV-AE are designed for switching electrical circuits, under normal and emergency conditions, in three-phase alternating current networks with a frequency of 50 Hz and a rated voltage from 6 to 35 kV. Circuit breakers type VV-AE are used in switchgear.
In all cases, installation of circuit breakers type VV-AE is allowed only upon agreement with the manufacturer.
At the customer's request, the switches can be equipped with drives with controls, such as: a closing solenoid (YAC) and a closing solenoid (YAT) for a voltage of 220V (110V) direct or 230V (120V) alternating current and an additional set of electromagnets with built-in releases:

  • electromagnet with power supply from an independent source (YAV), rated
    voltage 220V DC or 230V, 120V and 100V AC;
  • current releases for bypass circuits (YAA) of 3 A or 5 A.

Structurally, the switch module consists of:

  • a base that includes a welded frame with a switch shaft, a trip
    spring and an oil buffer;
  • three poles;
  • spring-motor drive.

By the nature of the structural connection with the drive, the switches have a separate drive
connected by a mechanical transmission. The switches have a high degree of unification in design.
