The YAKNO outdoor freestanding quarry cells are designed to receive and distribute three-phase alternating current electric energy with a voltage of 6 and 10 kV (YAKNO-6 and YAKNO-10) with an industrial frequency of 50 Hz and are used to connect the power supply and protect the electrical equipment of powerful quarry electrical consumers in distribution networks, as well as to connect outdoor lighting.

 The YAKNO cell is a welded shell-housing made of sheet steel, inside which the switching equipment, protection and measuring devices are located.

YAKNO is manufactured according to a questionnaire compiled for each customer individually, with detailed development of both the main and additional equipment, taking into account all the customer's wishes.

The YAKNO, YAKNO-6, YAKNO-10, PKKZ cell is a product of climatic version U and placement category 1 according to GOST 15150-69 and is designed to operate in the following conditions:

• at ambient air temperature values ​​from + 50 to - 40 degrees C according to GOST 15543.1-89;
• at an altitude of up to 1000 m above sea level;

In YAKNO various types of protection and automation are implemented, both on electromechanical relays and on modern microprocessor units. The chambers can be equipped with various types of mechanical and electrical interlocks, preventing erroneous actions of service personnel during operational switching.

Operating conditions:
YAKNO are used outdoors at any time of year and day and have the following parameters of resistance to external environmental factors:

•  ambient air temperature from minus 45 to plus 40 °C;
•  altitude above sea level no more than 1000 m;
•  humidity 75% at a temperature of plus 15 °C;
•  atmospheric pressure – from 86.6 to 106.7 kPa;
•  atmosphere type according to GOST 15150 – II (industrial);
•  the environment is non-explosive, does not contain explosive dust, aggressive gases in concentrations that destroy metals and insulation;
•  resistance to seismic impact according to GOST 17516.1 – up to 9 points on the MSK-64 scale.

Operating principle:

The YAKNO contains the equipment of the main and auxiliary circuits. The handles of the drives, control devices, protection and signaling relays, metering and measuring devices are located in the RZiA compartment, on the front side of the YAKNO. Access to the equipment is provided by doors located on the front and back sides of the cell, the number of doors depends on the design features of the YAKNO.
The cell design provides for separating the compartment with the equipment of the auxiliary circuits from the high-voltage equipment. YAKNO also provides the ability to separate the compartments for connecting the cable assembly from the vacuum circuit breaker compartment with a stationary metal partition. The cells are provided with internal 36 V lighting.
All devices and instruments installed in the cells that are subject to grounding are grounded. The YAKNO body has grounding tongues designed to connect the cell body to the grounding device, as well as to install a portable ground. The metal connection of all YAKNO parts is carried out using cut-in washers in bolted connections.
